From Humble Beginnings
Fifty years ago, Phillip Jeffries began with a simple question from our founder Eric Bershad: What if I bet my life savings and followed my dream to start my own business? Founded in the family garage with just 10 grasscloths, Phillip Jeffries has emerged as a global leader in luxury wallcovering. Our story is one of entrepreneurial spirit, creative vision, continuous innovation, grit, and deep personal relationships.

Meet Our Leaders
Our company remains family-owned and operated, now led by brothers Philip and Jeffrey, who continue the legacy established by their parents, Eric and Susan Bershad.
Today, the company is home to more than 400 dedicated team members. Philip and Jeffrey joined the business 25 years ago as employees #9 and #11, and from the very beginning, they shared an ambitious vision for what the business could become.
They set out to be more than just another design company. They believed that their small family business could evolve into the world’s leading wallcovering company.

Phillip Jeffries works exclusively with members of the design trade and select design retailers. Our wallcovering is available through top designers and our showrooms and representatives. From London to Los Angeles and beyond, we maintain 14 showrooms on three continents and have partners in more than a hundred cities around the world.
Our one-for-one program is our most ambitious commitment to the planet: For every order you place, we plant a tree in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation. As of July 2025, we have planted more than 500,000 trees.
Every employee is empowered to take three paid days off each year to participate in community service. Additionally, we organize volunteer opportunities, from building homes with Habitat for Humanity to serving meals at food pantries.
